Safety & Safeguarding Policy

Zero tolerance for harassment, abuse or unsafe behaviour by anyone: tutor, parent, student or family member.

Last updated: 20 October 2026

Report a safety concern: email hello@rightfittutors.com or WhatsApp us. We respond to safety reports within 24 hours.

1. Student safety

  1. For students under 18, a parent or responsible adult must be at home during home tuition.
  2. Classes take place in an open, visible area of the home, not a closed bedroom.
  3. Tutors may not contact students privately (calls, messages, social media) outside class arrangements agreed with the parent.
  4. Tutors may not use physical punishment, threats or humiliating language.
  5. Online classes for minors should be held with a parent aware of the session. Recording is allowed only with the parent’s consent.

2. Female tutor safety

  1. Female tutors may ask to be sent only to homes where a female family member is present.
  2. Before a first visit, Right Fit Tutors confirms the parent’s name, phone number and address by call.
  3. Female tutors may bring a family member to the demo.
  4. A female tutor may leave any home where she feels unsafe and report it to us. She will not be penalised for leaving.
  5. Any complaint of harassment is treated as urgent. The family responsible is permanently banned and may be reported to the police.

3. Tutor conduct

  1. Dress modestly and behave professionally.
  2. No requests for money, gifts or personal favours from families.
  3. No smoking, drugs or weapons at the student’s home.

4. Reporting a concern

  1. Report any concern by email or WhatsApp (see above).
  2. We respond to safety reports within 24 hours and may suspend the person involved while we investigate.
  3. Where a child may be at risk or a crime is reported, we will inform the relevant authorities.

Breaking this policy can lead to removal and a permanent ban under our Terms of Service, Tutor Policy and Parent Policy.
